The piano is one of the most understandable instruments for children to begin music study, even if they decide to learn a different instrument later on. Piano lessons teach discipline, persistence, patience, and give students skills they can use throughout the rest of their lives - and it's fun!
Studies have shown that musical involvement heightens children's learning development in every aspect of their education. The Williams Music Studio is a place for students of all ages to learn and develop their love of music.
The Studio includes a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano, a Starr baby grand piano, and a Baldwin electronic organ.

Studio Policy
In private piano lessons, students learn to play and read music simultaneously. Beginners learn graded songs out of a lesson book, and complete pages in a theory book. Once a certain level is reached, students have more freedom to choose music they would like to learn. Occasional group lessons are offered to solidify skills, and give students a chance to meet and perform for each other.
All students are encouraged to participate in Piano Guild Auditions each Spring, Piano Olympics in the Fall, and the annual Christmas Studio Recital.
